The main role of the pressurizer is to maintain the reactor coolant pressure at the desired level in a Pressurized Water Reactor. It provides a volume of steam that can be adjusted to account for variations in the volume of the reactor coolant. Upward pressure surges are mitigated by steam bleed valves, which relieve vapor from pressuriser to Bleed Condenser. Godrej has been qualified by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) for the manufacturing of Pressurizer and various types of heat exchangers (Bleed Condenser, Bleed Cooler, Stand-by Cooler, Moderator Heat Exchanger, etc.) for nuclear power plants.
