Gas Flow Meter Calibration Services

The Flow Calibration System has been established in the flow from 1 sccm (standard cubic centimeter per minute) to 500 slm (standard liter per minute) with expanded uncertainty of 0.3% at k =2. This system is ready for calibration of mass flow controllers, mass flow meters, rotameters, Totalizer type meters etc. The system supports multi-gas calibration (24 different gauges). We also perform DUT density corrections.

Lawkim Recycling Policy

Electronic waste (E-waste) comprises of waste electrical/electronic goods which are not fit for their originally intended use. These outdated/obsolete electrical motors found in appliances, equipment and industries can become hazardous if not discarded properly. E-waste is hazardous as it contains hazardous constituents like toxic substances and chemicals, which can have adverse effect on environment and health, if released indiscriminately into the environment. Safety and environmental considerations must be taken into account when disposing of old electrical motors.

To promote environmental sustainability in Indian Industry, Godrej Group under the chairmanship of Mr. Jamshyd N Godrej is signatory to the 'Mission on Sustainable Growth-CII Code for Ecologically Sustainable Growth'. Godrej is committed to reduce resource intensity & emissions, discharge & waste generation by 2-6% every year.

Lawkim is committed to protect our environment by ensuring safe disposal of their motors and components after the end of their useful life.

As per E-Waste Management & Handling Rules issued by Ministry of Environment and Forest, E-Waste has been defined as "waste electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part or rejects from their manufacturing and repair process, which are intended to be discarded". Electrical and electronic equipment has been defined as "equipment which is dependent on electrical currents or electro-magnetic fields to fully functional".

E-waste generally consists of those substances contained in an appliance or equipment which can have adverse effects on the environment and hence managing it in a scientific way is important. Apart from affecting the environment it can also have adverse effect on the health of the people.

Recycling benefits of old motors and components:

Recycling recovers valuable materials from old motors and components that can be used to make new products. As a result, we save energy, reduce pollution, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and save resources by extracting less raw materials from the earth.
Safe recycling of outdated motors and components promotes sound and scientific management of toxic chemicals thereby protecting our surroundings.

Consequences of unsafe disposal of motors and components:

Toxic material present in e-waste (Capacitor foils, PCB, Cables) get mixed with earth, air, water etc. and causes health issues.
Burning of insulation system, rubber, foam & Plastic in open area causes air pollution.

In India, E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules have been notified by the Central Government. Lawkim stands committed to implement E -Waste Rules. For this purpose Lawkim has partnered with the recyclers with valid authorization from Pollution Control Board to facilitate disposal of e -waste products after its end- of-life (non-operational or non-repairable product) in an environmentally conscious manner.

Customers are encouraged to strictly follow the guidelines given in the take back policy and help to protect our Mother Earth

Disposal Guidance of End-of-Life Products

Consumers could contribute to resource conservation and prevent potential environmental problems by simply not mixing e-waste with other general waste material and calling Lawkim call Centre No. 1-800-266-6644

Recycling of Products:

Many customers might think that end-of-life products are worthless, but they still contain many reusable or recyclable materials. Let's see how all parts of old products could be recycled.

Valuable metals used for making motors e.g. steel, copper etc. are recovered by controlled smelting process for use again hence conserving resources.
Paper is the main component used in Motor packing box which can be easily recycled and reused. This simple step will save so many acres of forest.

These initiatives are steps towards making cleaner and greener earth and also our commitment towards Environment. We invite all our valuable customers to join this initiative and help to preserve environment.

Customers can contact Lawkim call centre (Call Centre 1-800-266-6644) to know nearest authorise service centre.
Customer can deposit their product to the authorised service centre.
Authorised service centre will send the motor and component to Lawkim factory for recycling.
After collection, Lawkim will make sure that it is recycled & disposed in appropriate manner.

Do's:

Keep the product in isolated area, after it becomes non-functional/un-repairable so as to prevent its accidental breakage.
All Lawkim electrical motors and components are required to be handed over only to the Lawkim Authorized service centre.

Dont's:

The product should not be dismantled by the User himself/herself, but only by authorized service personnel.
The product is not meant for re-sale to any unauthorized agencies/scrap dealer.
The product is not meant for mixing into household waste stream.

At Lawkim, we encourage each team member to think differently. For this, training and workshops are regularly conducted internally as well as externally with the help of experts. This inspires people to be creative and think of new and different ways of doing things. The outcome of such programmes and approach has led to us developing several new products and adjacencies such as BLDC motors, single phase flameproof motors for petrol pumps, IE3 motors, AGV solutions, Blower & Motor Solutions, Actuators and customised motors for specific industries and applications. Unique software programs have been developed by Lawkim engineers for designing high efficiency induction motors with optimum material content and designing and printing of the complete winding tool set from slot insulation to finish forming. Cellular manufacturing techniques developed by our engineers are used to optimize process and shop efficiency. Lawkim's innovative products such as a bicycle and a cycle rickshaw made from bamboo have also won recognition.
