Mumbai, 13 January 2021: Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej group, today announced that its business unit Godrej Appliances, India's leading cooling expert, received the prestigious ‘India Health and Wellness Awards 2020 - Gold’ by Integrated Health and Wellness (IHW) Council under the ‘COVID Protection Project’ category, for its role in expediting cold storage unit supplies required for strengthening the Cold Chain in Public Health Care facilities where Covid vaccine will get stored and deployed. As the country prepares for what may be one of the biggest immunization drives in history, the brand is getting ready for providing an end-to-end solution for the Covid-19 Vaccine Cold Chain.

Godrej Appliances recently won a tender for 11,856 units of the state of the art vaccine refrigerators and deep freezers under the Universal Immunization Programme by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. These advanced medical equipment are being delivered at various state depots across the nation at numerous government hospitals, district hospitals and health centers, strengthening the cold chain for the massive Covid-19 vaccination programme.
