At Godrej & Boyce, we are committed to ensuring equal access to opportunity by creating a level playing field through Disha, our skilling programme. Through Disha, 150,000 people have learnt skills that will enhance their earning potential in manufacturing, sales, and several other trades.

G&B collaborates with partners like state governments, NGOs and social enterprises, design and conduct skilling programs to train welders, CNC operators, fitters, electricians, carpenters, masons, refrigeration and air conditioning technicians, sales and service executives to name a few.

Disha training programmes encompass comprehensive modules on theory, with interactive and participatory practical experience, soft skills training and critical insight on the relevant industry. This helps trainees with the skills they require to meaningfully participate in the economy.

G&B has set up a Skilling Centre of Excellence with infrastructure facilities, the latest skilling tools, equipment and innovative teaching aids. Training content is constantly upgraded in line with industry requirements and candidates are provided with authentic exposure to real world issues. Inclusivity is integral to the Disha approach. We believe in the importance of ensuring that women play a meaningful role in the workforce by providing them with all the skills they would require including roles previously considered to be male dominated like machining and forklift driving. We also ensure that all training programs are adapted for differently abled individuals.

We help alumni with placements in various organisations in India and overseas. We design our programmes for sustainability and scale, and constantly measure and re-validate objectives to ensure we get the right outcomes.

Our Footprint

We deliver skill training programmes across India in the areas of manufacturing related technical trades, warehousing, construction, building Interiors, appliance servicing and retail sales.

We partner with non-profits across India that work in skill development and vocational training programmes. Our partners provide training and create market linkages that connect alumni with viable job prospects.

With 77 vocational training centres and 33 industrial training institutes, our training programme focuses on skill building, employability readiness as well as entrepreneurship development. Our centres provide well equipped practical training labs, classroom space and in-house training equipment, with support of audio-visual learning aids. We regularly update course curriculum in line with industry requirements.
