Fume hoods are available in 4 sizes based on width of the working area: 4 feet 5 feet 6 feet 8 feet

CLASSIFICATION BASED ON CONSTRUCTION

Bench type Fume Hood (Work Top Ht from Ground level is 900 mm): Bench Top Fume Hoods are mounted on top of a bench like structure. It can be either an auto by pass fume hood (suited for Non A/C Labs) or a Low Constant Volume Fume Hood (suited for A/C Labs).

Walk In type Fume Hood These hoods are ideal for laboratory procedures that require bulky equipment and a large work area. These are used for high set up application and roll in/ roll out applications.

Low Bench type Fume Hood (Work Top Ht from Ground level = 620 mm): These Fume Hoods are ideal for applications requiring large scale filtration, distillation or extraction. The apparatus benefits from the increased working height of these ‘ Low Bench Fume Hoods’.
