We at the Process Equipment Division of Godrej have achieved yet another marvellous feat by exporting two behemoths - Columns together weighing 1020 MT for our client Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. United States of America. The Columns are the heaviest piece of machinery to be exported out of Mumbai. The machinery was for a project of Low Sulphur Gasoline (LSG) Project based on CD Tech Process - patented by Jacobs. The items included 1 CD Hydro Column made of Carbon Steel with an approximate weight of 420 Metric tonnes plus 55 MT (platforms and ladders), height of 71 Mts. with a diameter of 5.5 Mts. And 1 CDHS Column made of Carbon Steel, with an approximate weight of 480 Metric tonnes plus 55 MT (platforms and ladders), height of 51 Mts. with a diameter of 5.2 Mts.

This is a significant landmark in our progress, being our first physical export to the USA and also being the heaviest & tallest columns to go out from Godrej in a single piece, till date. The successful completion of this project within the delivery schedule, meeting the stringent quality requirements and a high magnitude transportation operation will facilitate our entry into hitherto uncharted territories world-wide.
